About Us
We've been attending living history events for a number of years, but always found it hard to find event information without having to trawl across multiple webites, Facebook pages and groups.
Our son has a passion for history and growing up we would regularly take him to museums and historical events spanning all periods. As he got older we attended some of the 1940s and WW2 events, which just so happened to coincide with us obtaining details our Grandparents role in the Second World War, and this ignited a common interest and passion!
The more events we went to, the more obvious one problem became: there was no single place to find out what was actually happening. We were juggling half a dozen Facebook groups, scrolling through different organisers' own websites and manually keeping our own list just to track what was coming up and where.
And dates and locations were only half of it. Knowing which groups were actually confirmed to attend mattered just as much as was there going to be a battle, will there be vehicles, is there entertainment, where actually is it, is there a flypast, can you camp overnight, how big is the event, how others rate the event etc. It all helps make a good decision.
So we built the site we wished already existed.
The Creators of Living History Events
What we built to fix it
One list, not a dozen
Search every event by period, region, or month in one place, instead of piecing it together from Facebook groups and scattered websites.
See who's actually going to be there
Every event shows which groups are confirmed to attend, so you can judge whether it's worth the trip before you commit.
Know what to expect
Parades, battle re-enactments, flypasts, camping — see the features that matter to you before you decide.
Real reviews from real years
Ratings and photos from previous years sit right on the listing, from people who were actually there.
Curate your own list
Save any event to My Events and find them all together — split into Upcoming and Past — whenever you're planning your next trip out.
See it all on a map
Switch to Map View on the events list to see everything pinned across the UK at a glance — handy for spotting what's happening near you, or planning further afield.
Every event page also has one-tap sharing and an "Add to Calendar" button, so telling friends and family or blocking out the date takes seconds.
Who it's for
